Min is currently embroiled in a series of lawsuits with her former employer.

  • Former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin has made her first public appearance since her resignation from ADOR.
  • At a talk concert hosted by Hanhwa General Insurance and fol:in, Min detailed her current feud with HYBE, describing it as a “crusade” where “no one believes the truth.”
  • “All you can do is prove yourself through your actions, results and genuine self,” Min said, further adding that she was strengthening herself by reminding herself of “why I started this fight, and of what I must do in the future.”

Former CEO of ADOR Min Hee-jin has made her first public appearance, where she spoke publicly about her current legal feud with ADOR and HYBE.

Min attended the talk concert titled “Women Who Became Genre” hosted by Hanhwa General Insurance and fol:in on the 6th of December at the Dreamplus Gangnam.

On this day, Min stated that, “It’s difficult to live by one’s convictions. You will be constantly attacked. When you’re in a situation where you’re being attacked with fabricated stories, it’s impossible to constantly defend yourself by pointing them out as lies. You’ll have to live with the unfairness of it. All you can do is prove yourself through your actions, results and genuine self. If all you are is a smooth-talker with nothing to show for it, your words become nothing. You have to show results. That’s why work is important.”

On November 20, Min Hee-jin resigned from ADOR Entertainment’s board of directors. She is currently no longer with HYBE. Following her resignation, Min has filed successive lawsuits against executives at HYBE and its affiliated subsidiaries.

She spoke of her current situation as well. “It’s become akin to a crusade. No one believes the truth. I’m confident that I’m more miserable than those gathered here today.”

Min added that, “People only believe what they want to believe. I said as much at my first press conference. I can’t speak much on it now, but time will tell who was actually telling the truth.”

Min Hee-jin held a press conference in April 2024 after HYBE announced that it had launched an internal audit against her and executives at ADOR, which she founded with an investment from HYBE. At the time, HYBE was the majority shareholder of ADOR, the home of girl group NewJeans. The press conference turned the tide of public opinion in Min’s favor, though that favor has ebbed and flowed since then.

Following her press conference, Min and HYBE have been engaged in a war in both the media and the courts.

“Personally, I would like the lawsuits and everything else to be over quickly, but time is not something I can control. I’m extremely miserable, but I have to train myself to persevere. I have to keep reminding myself of the essence of it–I have to keep ruminating on why I started this fight, and of what I must do in the future–that’s how I’m strengthening myself in the present.”

Since September, NewJeans has spoken out publicly in favor of Min’s reinstatement. On November 28, the group convened an emergency press conference, where they unilaterally terminated their contract with ADOR. Their statements created an uproar in the industry, leading industry alliances and organizations to speak out against them.
