- Former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin has filed four separate lawsuits against two HYBE executives and two journalists at media outlet Dispatch.
- The two HYBE executives named in her lawsuits are former HYBE CEO Park Ji-won and HYBE’s PR Chief Park Tae-hee.
- The Dispatch journalists named in her lawsuits had authored a scathing exposé about the former ADOR CEO that was released to the public on December 2nd.
In another chapter in the ongoing feud between Min Hee-jin and HYBE, the former ADOR CEO was revealed to have filed four separate lawsuits against HYBE executives and journalists at media outlet Dispatch.
Excluding the two journalists, the two named in Min’s lawsuits were former HYBE CEO Park Ji-won and HYBE’s current PR Chief Park Tae-hee.
The statement by Sejong Law Firm, which represents the embattled former CEO, revealed that Min had filed suits against the four at the Yongsan Police Station, accusing them of violating the ‘Act On Promotion Of Information And Communications Network Utilization And Information Protection.’ The current and former HYBE chiefs stand accused of violating the ‘infringement of information and communication network’ aspect of the legislation, while the journalists are being sued for defamation.
Min’s statement continued, “Since April of this year Park Ji-won and Park Tae-hee have added untruths to personal conversations obtained illegally, with the intent of actively creating a negative perception of former CEO Min in the public eye.”
Regarding her suing of the journalists, Min’s statement read, “The journalists at Dispatch, though fully aware of the above intentions, have continuously written headlines which created truth out of lies with the purpose of slandering former CEO Min.”
The statement goes on to accuse the journalists of “reporting a story that is wholly different from the truth, echoing one side’s unilateral assertions while adding in their own conjectures without checking for the facts.”
The statement goes on to conclude with, “We hope that the lies and deceptions of the accused will be uncovered by a thorough investigation, so that they will be held appropriately liable for their crimes as according to the law.”
A scathing article by Dispatch was released on the 2nd of December, a couple days after girl group NewJeans convened an emergency press conference in which they unilaterally terminated their contracts with ADOR.
The article accuses Min of directing all of NewJeans’ actions for her own benefit since the group’s Youtube livestream in September. It also makes a number of shocking accusations against Min regarding her relationship with HYBE’s executives and how NewJeans came to be.
