On the 2nd of December, BTS V notified fans of tragic news.
“The reason I’m writing this is because recently, Yeontan left on a long journey for the stars,” V wrote in an SNS post. “I wondered for a long time how I should tell you, but I felt it was only right for ARMYs to know too, because of how much love you’ve shown Yeontan until now.”
V adopted Yeontan in 2016, and the sweet dog quickly became cherished fan-favorite, going on to appear with the BTS members in many videos and pictorials. V has been open about Yeontan’s health struggles over the years, specifically his severe heart condition which led to two unsuccessful surgeries.
V continued in his post, “I hope that ARMYs will think of Yeontan now and again, so that he’ll be happy on the stars too. I hope that for all of you, this holiday season becomes a time when we can tell our loved ones that we love them once more.”
V ended his post with a farewell for ARMYs. “I hope you remain well ARMY, until the day we meet again!”
